Our remarkable collection records Ipswich’s heritage from the late 1800’s to the 1974 flood. This fascinating & important collection of images will grow with time as we carefully scan & restore each glass plate negative.

This section of the website is not finished yet. It will eventually have several pages of thumbnails which you can click on to enlarge. Until then, please visit our studio & look through our catalogue of historical images to make your selection.

The historical collection will be divided into the following galleries:

• Railway workshops (eventually about 30 images)
• Buildings & landmarks (eventually about 90 images)
• Street scenes & flood scenes (eventually about 70 images)

We currently have proofs available for viewing in our studio. You are welcome to drop in & look through them.

Ordering Details
Your historical prints are available in a range of options.

Tone
Tones available include:

• Black-and-white
• Sepia toned (strong)
• Sepia toned (subtle)
• Blue-black

Mat
Your print can be ordered ‘straight’ or with a digital textured mat applied. Mats available include:

• Black
• White
• Grey
• Warm (cream)

If desired, we can add descriptive text to the print as well.
