Whitehead Studios has been in existence since 1883, the very early days of photography. In that time we have serviced the people of south-east Queensland with an enormous variety of photographic services, from weddings & portraits to sports events and schools. If Grandma shows you a photograph of her Grade 4 school group, chances are Whitehead Studios took it.

Gordon
Gordon has been a professional photographer since 1980. He spent 9 years as a photographer in the RAAF, experiencing many aspects of the trade. He then spent 10 years with professional studios in Perth & Fremantle, specialising in wedding & portrait photography. He moved to Ipswich in 2000 & has been managing Whitehead Studios ever since.
 

Paul
Paul has been involved in professional photography since 1978. He spent 20 years as a photographer in the RAAF, involved in many areas of the trade. He then taught photography for six years at several TAFE colleges. He spent a couple of years as an Instructional Designer at the Ipswich Campus of the University of Queensland before joining Whitehead Studios in 2004.
 

Ann
Ann is our longest serving member, having joined our office staff in 1967. She soon graduated, however, to hand retouching finished prints, a skill she still performs. She is also our Office Manager and handles most of the demanding administration of our school photography. Furthermore, she makes a damned fine cuppa & keeps the rest of us in line. 
 

Tessa
Tessa joined Whitehead Studios in 1990 hand-retouching prints. She still does this, but with sophisticated digital methods rather than tiny brushes. Over the years she quickly developed her photography skills, & has been our specialist wedding photographer for many years. If Tessa photographs your wedding you will appreciate her creativity & sensitivity in compiling your album.
